The fastest growing part of the Colorado Springs Community, the east side is conveniently located between the city’s two largest shopping malls with significant numbers of new retail stores along Powers Boulevard. Approximately 8 miles east of downtown, there is plenty of recreation for this community with the UCHealth Park, two golf courses, and several sports fields. Homes in this area are convenient to both Schriever and Peterson Air Force Bases.
The Citadel Mall, Murray Square Shopping Center and Rustic Hills North Shopping Center offer plenty of shopping, while being close to beautiful parks like Palmer, Audubon, Wasson, or Jefferson. There is also great hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails along with a myriad of quaint picnic areas. The Audubon Medical Campus and Penrose Community Hospital are also located in this neighborhood.
